Does anyone else hear a "swishing" sound or something similar when turning the steering wheel completely? I notice it when navigating parking lots but also if I'm making a sharp turn while on the road. I'm taking it by the dealership today but just wanted to know if anyone knew it was the power steering or something stupid like that which is going to make me look dumb

When the wheel is completely cranked, you'll get that swishing sound you speak of. It is normal; however, you should try to avoid cranking the wheel all the way for extended periods of time because it could cause problems with your power steering pump. Just a heads up.

By Completly you probably mean to it's limit? Well I really never go there but if I ever did on any other car or truck it would always make that weird noise or sound when you "Bottom out the travel" on a Hydro. pump. Even my wood splitter does it. I'll have to check out what sortta sound the Coupe makes but I'd bet a paycheck it makes some sort of sound when it reaches it's turning limit. So just back off a little and it should go away....does it not? It's probably just the pump gurgle-ing.

Well, I actually meant "one time around" by completely, not to the limit. I hear this sound when I'm just making a 90 degree turn onto a perpendicular road.
