Steering shimmy during braking, no pedal pulsation

My 2K i30 has varying amounts of the steering wheel side-to-side shimmy while I am braking at different speeds. However, the brake pedal does not pulsate, and the car does not pull to either side during braking or regular driving.

Alignment is good. Any ideas for the steering shimmy?

Also, here is a pic of my right front rotor, showing a discolored band on the outside. There does not seem to be a thickness difference between the black and shiny bands, but the blacked area feels a little rougher(no grooves) and looks streaked with black material. The pad has corresponding band on it, one side was very slightly worn more, can't remember if it was touching the black or shiny band. Also, since the pads and rotors were installed new together(15k miles ago), I'm wondering why the rusty band on the inside is not worn where the pad corners are still touching it. Bearing seems good, no axial or play or wobbliness.

If you're getting a vibration during braking but no pedal pulsation, chances are your rear brakes are the ones in need of servicing. When's the last time you checked those out?

? The steering wheel is rocking side to side, but no body shake or pedal pulsation. How would the rear brakes affect the steering components?

The back brakes are fine anyway, and show no vibration if I use the parking brake while driving.

This is what I get for posting hungover. Lol.

Take your front rotors somewhere and have them checked for lateral runout. Make sure to clean all the corrosion/rust build up from the hat of the rotors and the hub surfaces.

Have the front rotors turned, install new pads and perform brake burnishing.

I completely agree with the above posts. While I've not had this problem with my Infiniti, I have had the same problem with an 86 Cougar. Front rotors needed to be machined to true them. Also consider new rotors, as this will probably repeat once the rotors are machined.
