steering rack question

im replacing my steering rack boots. i noticed the rack is lubed with some sorta grease. before i install my new ones should i lube it some more?? if so with what?? any high temp grease should work wont it? (even tho it doesnt get to hot)

you don't need any high temp grease. you just need regular grease to grease up the rack under the cv boot. I used mobil 1 synthetic grease on mine, but that's because I didn't have anything else around at the moment.

oh yeah btw, remember to count turns not threads when you're installing the tie rods and ends back on the rack.

ive always just put tape on it, i dunt cownt so guud.
