what do you mean when you turned right

your rack doesnt move when you turn the wheel

you need to jack it up, put stands under the lower control arms (so it loads the suspension) and turn the wheel.

Well its resting on the oil pan, and when driving if i turn right it feels like something is snagging, maybe its another issue beside it being on the oil pan...

someone said i need to grind a spot out on the turbo elbow

it's your turbo turbine outlet/elbow. It's hitting your steering column. Since the steering column is a moving part and has a swivle end it's position in regards to the shaft that connects to the rack position varys slightly when rotating. So it's position is not true at all positions of movement. You'll notice an area rubbing away on the cast elbow (if still oem) and a shiny area now on the coloumn.

Solution: modify elbow, or modify mounts, or new elbow that routes around the column.

Hope that helps. It sure sounds like the issue to me. If not, oh well, atleast you checked, :P

Good luck

I agree with coolwhip. The motor is not suppose to move unless your using some soft motor mounts. Me i refuse to use anything factor as far as mounts on such a big engine in a cramp engine bay. Then the check the steering shaft. sounds to me like something is probably loose.
