Seems I got screwed, the company that did my car went out of business. Now I have steering problems. I complained to one of the guys who helped with my car and he told me my problems were because my new s13 engine was 350lbs lighter and it changed my camber. Well, so far I had to replace one of the steering joints from it being bad, the rack-n-pinion unit virtually cracked, and now another steering joint appears to bad and it feels weird to turn right.Could this all be because of the weight difference? I have yet to see anyone else complain about this. Can the steering be damaged when doing a swap?

I don't think it's because of the weight difference.Honestly, it sounds like sometime during the engine swap process, your power steering may have been damaged. I might be completely off the mark here though, so hopefully someone else can shed some light.

Just wondering, how can your new s13 engine be 350lbs lighter???? I thought Super Street weighted in both ka24de and sr20s at around 400lbs? wouldnt that mean your new engine is only 1/16 of the whole thing???? Just asking....

I have the same problem after just completing the swap, but have not started investigating the cause. I'll let you know what I figure out this weekend
