steering problem....

ok during a drifting accident i had too much oversteer and spun out and bouced over a curb... it bent my rim and i got it replaced.... i havent had my car aligned yet...... but i will soon..... still.... when i am driving at about 60 mph my steering wheel shakes and also my steering wheel is a little off center..... anyone know what I broke? :help :rolleyes

It's probably just the alignment, but there is a posssibility that you might have bent an arm or two on your suspension (likely that it may be a slightly bent tie rod).First thing that you need to do, though, is to take it to a good alignment shop, and have them checked out.

outer or inner?

what do you mean by outer or inner?there are only two tie rods. . . right and leftAnd i'm not sure which one you (may have) bent. Or are you talking about the tie rod ends. . . don't worry, I don't think that it's the tie rod end. . . more than likely, it's just the alignment

there's two pieces to the tie rods which is seperated by the nut...inner is of course the part that connects to the steering rack and outer is the part that has the bushing.....

chances are, it's the inner rod....i think you should do a visual check to confirm which part it is....

I agree with zombieman, it's probably the inner tierod. I just replaced mine not too long ago cuz my car did the exact same thing.(shakes after 60mph) Now is a good time to upgrade. =) I know I did =P Tien baby!!
