Steering Problem

ok, so this problem appeared suddenly one day after work. When i first start to turn the wheel, it feels normal, then it gets hard, then back to normal. Its about the same amount of turn no matter which direction. Then, when i let go of the wheel to re center itself, it gets stuck at that spot and i have to center it by hand. I've already checked fluid and the belt, and they appear to be fine. Please help...

Check your steering rack bushings, see if they are worn out.
