I had this problem before:

When I brake going forward ( say from 30mph ) both wheels buckle to toe-in and it also happens on high speed cornering and slow turning and I have to stop go full lock left to right about 3 times then it resets itself.

Also the steering wheel refuses to go back to center.

I have replaced the rack and pinion and gotten an alignment twice. it still does the same thing.

My front setup is:

S14 control arms Tein Tie Rod with spacer and SPL Pro Tie Rod endsST swaybarC-Tune T/C Rod

Front Alignment setup is:

Caster: +8Camber: -1.5Toe: 0

any ideas?

I saw in the FSM about adjusting the rack retainer...would that fix it?

I'm thinking of going back to S13 arms..

That retainer isnt going to solve why both wheels toe in when you brake hard. Problem with this is the tires, if moving, should toe out when braking. I was going to suggest tension rods but your have solid aftermarkets. I am a bit confused at how it is toeing in. But I could suggest checking the rack mount bushings.

I have spoken with a suspension specialist and suggested it has to do anything that has to spin in an axis which came to the conclusion to my lower control arm balljoints. They were new but could have been cracked due to drifting since. I will check them on monday.

Should I keep my s14 control arms or go back to s13 arms?
