steering problem

i just swapped in a sr20 and kept the car left hand side drive.....but when i hook up the steering shaft it rubs on the downpipe........does anyone kno a quick fix for this or a aftermarket downpipe that will not rub

Its most likely rubbing on the heat shields. Did you remove all the heat shields attached to the turbo before you installed the engine?

yes all the heat sheilds are removed....its rubbing on the cantted part of my downpipe.......do you kno if a uncantted downpipe would fix this
