Hi everyone!

First time post, long time lurker. First I would like to quickly express my gratitude to the many people on here who have taken the time to post helpful instructions on so many topics, it has help me immensely.

I used this forum to rebuild my calipers, and while removing the front passenger side, I found that the wheel bearing was bad. Instead of installing a new one, I purchased a steering knuckle assembly from Z1 Motorsports. I have not been able to figure out how to remove the part below (circled), so I can install it in the new one. I think it's called the kingpin, but all my searches for that return instructions on replacing the kingpin bearings. I also could not find anything in the FSM about this. I have literally been using the search function on many forums and have had no luck,

Is this something that I just need to beat out with a hammer? Or do I need to get it pressed out? I just want to make sure I don't damage the part. I have removed the bolt from the backside that is not seen in the picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I figured it out. After hitting it on the end repeatedly to no avail, I simply tapped on the side of the knuckle and the damn thing just slid out.

I apologize for the retarded question.
