is it hitting the turbo or the o2 extension? my motor came with an aftermaket o2 extension (HKS), and that rubs agaist my steering column. Other than that there should be plenty of room, are the bolts under the steering wheel bolted up?

The tube coming from the 02 extension has to be shortened to less than an inch or it will run right into the steering column.

sounds to me like your motor isn't sitting down on the pax side mount (or the mount is torn and has gotten hung up on itself) I had the same issue with my car, had to jack the motor up and re position it even though it was bolted down on both ends (my mount was torn).

Yes, but why spend money and wait for an AIV (EGR) plug to arrive.

It only take 5 min to remove the pipe, cut it to about 1 inch, put a nickel in the hole to block outgoing exhaust gasses, and torque back in.

humm... sounds good to me... didn't have a motor to look at to see that it was that easy :-)

I'm STILL waiting...Needless to say my AIV plug is here and my motor is not!

Not if you already have an impact wrench, I got one, who doesnt? Air tools are time savers (trying taking off an old flywheel with a box wrench and 8 inch long rachet by yourself).

I tried a breaker bar on mine, the whole motor spun around with it. I said screw it and put an impact to it. My compressor only costed me 109.99 shipped from harborfreight.com
