steering issues

Ive got a question that i think is linked to the following problem when i hit a bump, large or small my steering shimmies like crazy and it makes a noise. Now, when im stopped and i turn the wheel to the left quickly and just let go it makes like a clunk, but only to the left. I have check the tie rods and ball joints, but it seems like its coming from somewhere down there. Not to mention the shimmy is really annoying.

i hit u up on aim but check your cv's boots might be torn on either side

I had the same problem with my 96 pathfinder.

you should also check the lower arm. sometime after a while the brushing wear out. just take bar and try to move the lower arm.

Once again, what year Pathfinder are we talking about?
