Would appreciate if anyone knows of a steering hub adapter for aftermarket steering wheels for a 96 240SX. I have tried calling MOMO, but nobody answers (yet). As far as I know, I think MOMO only makes one for the previous generation 240's ... what's the difference, if any?

Thanks!

Momo's seem to be smaller then stock. Only gain I could see is that you have to move a greater distance to turn the same distance that of a stock steering wheel. The gain is you get more precision/control over your steering. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

I am asuming you are installing a MOMO steering (or other after market) wheel, correct? Well, the adapters are pretty much made to fit any aftermarket steering wheel, not sure if the stock wheel would fit, but what a waste of time and money that would be!

I purchased my wheel about 2 months ago, MOMO said they were on back order 6 weeks, probably still are. My adapter is a HKB adapter ordered from Japan, specifically for Nissan vehicles, and even came with a nice Nissan horn! Still haven't relocated my cruise control switches, or fixed my horn. The signal indicator doesn't return either, but these are all winter projects for me! :) Here is a good site to help you w/the install

oh yeah, the HKB adapter was $80 Canadian funds, took about 3 weeks for me to get my hands on it, I believe the store located one locally and didn't have to import from Japan.

good luck, email me if you have any questions, and BTW, the new wheel kicks some serious ***!!!

**edit** the link didn't work at first, hopefully it will now

That is a great step-by-step instruction! Thanks very much. Yes, I am installing a MOMO wheel, either Fighter or Millennnium. I had thought about moving the cruise control to the center console, probably in front of the shifter or next to the power mirror control (in the blanks). But, I like how you did yours! Now, I need to order one of those HKB hubs ... where can I do this? Can you help?? :D

honestly, I don't know who carries them. I suppose if you find a store that sells aftermarket wheels, ask them for an HKB adapter. I was expecting a MOMO, but the HKB works fine. I've also seen these adapters used on Hondas, so they must be readily available, but unfortunately I can't do much more than pass along the phone number for the place that ordered mine, maybe they can help.

905-946-7962, Formula Import, ask for Wilson, he has a fairly heavy Cantonese accent, so if you can speak that language, its a bonus. But he does understand english well, give him a call, maybe he can pass you a contact of some sort, not sure though, sorry. Oh, and make sure you get the adapter BEFORE buying the steering wheel, may save you some white hair. Bookmark that link as well, its really great.

I like your idea of relocating the cruise buttons next to the power mirror window space, that was where I was planning to move mine as well! :) I even have a spare center console thingamajig to work on over the winter!

good luck, let me know how your project goes
