where can you get a steering bushing eliminator kit? i did come across the nismo steering rack bushing on this web page: http://www.nissanparts.cc/catalog/?section=366i was very interested in this mod awhile back after reading how much of an improvement the whiteline steering rack bushing made on sport compact car's project STi. seems like a cheap worthwile mod.

Raging Panda is refering to this.

Steering rod is in two pieces. This goes inbetween. Removes the tired old bushing out of there. There will be more feedback through it. Hopefully somebody on the board can comment on it. I've been thinking about it just to check it out. I'm changing my rack bushings before that though.

ive never seen that before. i have installed the energy sus rack bushings. that alone firmed up the feel quite a bit. response seems to be quicker and there is more "feel" to the steering.

but for 25 bux it could be worth it. if you get one post up with how it feels.

I sure will. Like you said, it's only $25. Might as well check it out. Even if I dont like it, I need to replace it with a new nissan bushing at minimum. I need to take that apart anyways because I think I may not have the steering rod engaged as fully as it should be in the rack after my SR20DET swap.

lets keep this updated. How hard is this to install. Is it one of those parts that is cheap but then takes a 4hour overhaul to install. Kinda like the brake seal kit i bought for my q45 calipers. Kit was $5 but was a pain in the *** to install.

Nah, doesnt look like. Just kinda up in the firewall is the only thing. So your space to work with tools may be kind of tight. Especially since I got a turbo in the way now.
