ok what have others done to prevent the "locking" at full lock? I've heard a couple things and am uncertain. The main thing I get is put something on the stopper so the hub doesnt bottom out and stick, makes good sense to me. HOWEVER wouldnt that kinda defeat the purpose of the mod?

I didnt think it would be a problem, then come to find out it changed everything

Theres a triangle bar that Brian from MA Motorsports welded and it prevents that binding your talking about. Send him an email...

hey man that site has been " down for maint." since 07

so give me an idea of what you talking about..???

thinking of removing one of the two per side and seeing if that helps the bind issue.

its f difficult to explain because you dont know what youre talking abouta triangle bar whatever that is wont stop the bindingthe only way to stop the binding is to either move the steering rack, or change the pick up point for the tie rod on the knuckle. thats what brian has, thats what i have too.these are the ones i have, thats my green car. they rock, you should get them. sooo much angle and it doesnt lock anymore. if it does lock, you can switch to the second hole or add plates that the kit comes with to remove a little bit of angle and keep it from locking.http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?15

yeh i always knew about spindles and wanted to try em out. i have to get use to my car first in order to get to that level.

^ those look amazing sick, i know ppl diy most of the time, i think brian of ma motorsports is in the works of mass producing these. but now that i saw those i am most likely gonna get those. leme know how they feel and everything. i no the west coast guys are lovin it.

my question is will those tie rods hit when u get full lock or does it have a little play before hand? i see it has a plate to where itll hit. i had that problem before when i had peak pro inner/outer and it would smack my lca like nuts.

they are amazing. steering is faster too. feels wierd at first, but then its soooo sick for initiation, you can throw the car super hard this way. also its a **** load of angle. i hardly spin and ive only hit the bump stop a few times. its awesome.do it! joe, i know martin from psm has been cranking those things out, so im sure yours will be back soon. id do the first hole at first, and see if its binding still, then if it is go to the second. im just switching to the second now. hope its coo!

im going from a 100% bone stock system to these, peak pro inners, and a 10mm spacer on top of it.

i might be happy with the "low" hole on the knuckles haha

do the s13 knuckles have to be cut? or can just be welded up with that U shaped piece like on the s14 knuckles...

joe, i was at part shop max today and i saw your knuckles. they were being painted and will be shipped out tomorrow. the knuckles take a while to do since they mod the lower control arm too. holla!

no, s13 knuckles receive the same treatment as s14 ones.

thank you sir!!!!!!1

also I found another much cheaper option, 16" steering wheel ftw

15 would probably cut it, whatever the stock steering wheel is didnt have enough leverage... I'm good now

No need to be a d!ck , d!ck , you could've been decent and said something like "I dont think thats right slappy" , but no , you had to be a typical car forum c***......and what i mentioned does help , because i was just at MA last week.

Schuey7 time: exlpain to me one more time what that support weld does on the FLCA that you were showing me the other day

JDM Fresh: it braces the oem tie rod stop on the arm so it doesnt bend

Schuey7 time: does that help with binding or no?

JDM Fresh: yes in that if you have one bent stop that it will bind, so you make sure they are straight up and down, then weld brace on there then they are good

JDM Fresh: yeah

JDM Fresh: like

JDM Fresh: if one stop is bent on one of your FLCAs it will bind , cause it will go over center , reason you need to center your rack

JDM Fresh: make sure its equal or damn close to equal amount of turns form full lock left to full lock right

BOT

Brian from MA Motorsports is doing that mod as well.

Hey do you know if they do this for a R32? Or anyone else on here for that matter? They'd be doing just about the same thing so I can't see a reason why not. I'll probably end up calling them either way lol. R32 stock steering angle sucks ***...
