I'm having a lot of problems with my car. I mentioned something a few days ago about my electrical problems... I still haven't fixed that. I'm having trouble finding the problem. Anyways I found a new problem today.

The steering wheel doesn't lock when the key is out of the ignition. I can turn it back and forth as much as I want. What could cause this problem? Any ideas would be nice.

Thanks

I had a blown fusible link from the alternator, 75 amp! I'll be replacing that in a few days (gotta order it). That should fix it (I hope)

Is the steering lock electrical?

the steering lock is a mechanical lock. A block extends from the botton of the ignition switch where it goes over the coloum. That block catches in a notch in the steering shaft. If the block is not extending it is a problem with the lock cyl itself.
