I came across an interesting situation a few days back while coming back from work. I was probably traveling between 25-35 MPH when my Rogue went into a crash imminent braking mode right before a steel road plate. The braking itself felt really weird, because it felt like the car was put into Park while it was moving i.e grinding gears noise instead of hard braking or abs coming on.

I'm concerned if this was more than one malfunction and what would happen if I come across a similar situation while traveling at a higher rate of speed. Plus if there's a car behind me, that could cause a serious accident as well. The only time I had an issue with the crash avoidance sensors in the past was when I was travelling from Philly to NYC in heavy rain, and a warning light came up saying there was something obstructing the sensors. But other than that, never had any issues.

Any of you guys had similar situations?

What did the dealership say when you contacted them?

They were like if it's not consistent then they can't help me.
