Weather isn't going to play around today. (Hasn't been playing around in AR or OK already).

Stay aware of what's happening today and be safe! For many of us here, this is nothing to goof around with as we have seen devastation firsthand.

We got some mega rain here, and some decent wind.

There were a couple Tornados, and one Honda dealership got its roof torn off (and a lot of vehicles destroyed).

No :(
I actually texted Jesda when I heard "Honda Dealership destroyed", but alas, it was not them.

My hometown didn't fare so well. Half a mile from my mom's house got leveled (as opposed to roughly 3/4 of a mile away the year before and a mile away the year before that - the trend is unsettling). My Dad almost lost his apartment (the storm touched down a mile or so west, picked back up, and touched back down on the other side of his complex).

NUTS. This April tornado business is turning into an annual event for North AL. I'm not a fan.

A couple of my co-workers got half of their neighborhoods leveled, but it sounds like everyone they know got out ok.

One of our machine shops got hit fairly decently (some of their cars got damaged, and the building got damaged a bit), but the place across the street got much worse. From what I've heard, the whole building is missing.

The flooding was intense over here... We had several water rescues and roads gone missing from washout. Beach Drive was a swimming pool much of yesterday!

Here's a few pictures:
