Ok, so I am installing an RB25DET for a guy who bought his clips from http://www.jrautoparts.com and what a crappy clip. He paid $3500(inc shipping) and got a clip that had the VIN numbers on the firewall burnt off(just holes where the numbers should be) no BOV, no intercooler, no radiator, cut radiator hoses, no MAF, possibly a blown turbo(puked oil when I pulled the intake pipe off) NO ENGINE CROSSMEMBER!!! Thats right, the oilpan is flat on the pallet, dented to hell!!! He was promised all the front suspension & brakes, they arent there... The ignition cyl was ripped out...I think this clip was stolen in Japan....

I will post some pics up here later, but beware...they dont want to do ANYTHING for him except send him the rotors and calipers stating that "it is a used motor, what do you want?" and that I should "stop crying like a little ***** about all the little nick-nack stuff." If you want to get a horrible clip and no service after the sale, buy from http://www.jrautoparts.com today!!!

Thanks for allowing me to waste your time with my rambling.

Jon

Especially with actual documented proof not a bunch of rants and raves. Very nice Jon, although I'm sorry for your misfortune.

Me either....but what can I do? shipping from NY back to Cali is gonna cost just as much as trying to get all the parts to make this thing work.

They got us on this one and know it, but I can make sure that they dont get anyone else(hopefully).

That clip is in rough shape. I will remember to never promote that business.

My clip came without a MAF,rad and IC. But i was told of these things beforehand and the price of the clip was judged accordingly.

He was told no intercooler, no radiator, and no condenser, but then got it without alot more stuff. Then when I called them, they said that the BOV is part of the intercooler and he knew the intercooler was missing... He also said that that oil was blow by from the vent....a bunch of crooks.

I'm going to post this in one of my other forums. For such a pretty website, they sure have some shady dealings. I guess calling the cops won't do jack. Seeing a burned off VIN is grounds alone for suspecting a theft.

Thanks for the heads up. Best of luck to your customer.

No offense brother, but get over yourself. Not everything posted on NICO is bent in your direction. If you want to take offense to everything everyone says, you might want to consider whether or not your conscience is clear.

By making a statement, and then presenting facts to support said statement. You make your point clear and well stated. With said proof, your statement is taken at face value. Which is, as far as I'm concerned absolutly ZERO, since I know none of you on a personal level. I don't mean that in a mean or spiteful way, I'm just trying to make a point.

If a new guy comes on here with his story of owning a 900whp R34 GTR, we all say the same thing. Show me some pics...

That's funny, i purchased my clip from the same place and the guy was great with me! Did a compression test in front of me and everything before i even bought it. Was very tolerable with my questions and concerns. Maybe it was because I dealed with him in person and able to pick my clip? not sure, I just thought it'd be only fair to him and everyone else to see that I had a great experience with him. Now about the concerns above, i don't think he messed with the Japaneese VIN, i mean, why would he care? we're in america and your buying an illegal motor! lol no BOV, no intercooler setup, and maf seems to have been stated before the transaction ever happened so im kind of lost where the shock value came from? sounds like the calipers and brakes were taken care of by stating he would send them to him afterwards. missing crossmember would definately concern me as well as the dented oil pan and possible pickup damage? oh yeah, possible blown turbo is weak too. I would also be unsatisfied with the purchase but Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he has the best business practices or anything because i dont even know him personally. It's just hard to make a decision based on only one side of the story? also, what are clips going for now? they seem to be around 3,300+shipping last i've heard so maybe this is one of those times where you get what you payfor? hope everything turns out for the best!

In a way, it might be good. But in a way, not good. A three puck clutch means it's been raced, driven hard, and perhaps even beat on. Ya know what I mean?

Is it just me or does anyone else find that incredibly funny?I don't know much about RX7's but I'm pretty sure that the TT FD's were puttin' out around 250hp and definitely not at 3400. :)Not to mention their, uhh...interesting judge of its displacement.

Sorry about the clip. =\ Hope you can get some refundage/replacement.

JR Autoparts is located in SoCal. I'm lucky enough to be about 30 minutes from there. In fact, if I had a car, I'd be willing to drive out there to inspect clips for NICO guys who order from them, just to make sure and stuff.

But I don't have a car. :(
