Static from speakers no sound from left speakers

Im trying to determine if I have a bad radio or if the Amp has gone out. The problem first started out with no sound comming from the left speakers no matter if it was a CD or the radio. Now there is nothing but static comming through the spearkers when listing to the radio and a CD. Left side sound seems intermitant. cuts in and out but hear nothing but static. Ive tired diagnostic mode and it doesnt ay anything, no error codes. I'm pretty sure its either the Amp or the radio itself. Just dont know which. Speaker test works fine. I can hear the tone from each speaker just fine. No static.

Do you have the DVD built into the arm rest (Not the one within the glovebox that's for NAV)? If yes try the aux inputs and see if they produce sound. It's a bit confusing and what throws me off is the test signal works fine. The test signal is a part of the Audio unit (Mounted directly underneath the black center control panel just under the monitor. If the test signal didn't work on each of the speakers then it's more than likely the amp. Either way take your trunk liner down from the roof to expose the amp on the drivers side mounted to the rear deck. Disconnect all connectors and verify that there is no corrosion present.
