I got stopped by a state trooper today on my way from work. I was doing about 80 in a 65 on I-65 heading north when a state trooper passed me going south. When he went by me I saw him looking at me. I then saw him turn around in the grass and turn on his lights. I was thinking, "damn how the hell did he get me on radar, it's impossible." So, I slowed and pulled over. He got up to the car and wanted to talk about it. Turns out, he wasn't running radar at all, but he just wanted to find out what kind of car I was driving. We talked for about 10 minutes and then he said "don't worry about radar around here, I'm the only one who runs here. As long as your not cutting people off and weaving through traffic then you're fine with me." I said thanks and then we went our separate ways. It was perhaps the weirdest moment of my life. I just had to share this story with you.

Yeah, needless to say, I was pretty surprised. I still find it hard to believe that it happened.

Couldn't agree more...although the young attractive female cop where I lived was a b****.

There are a couple of cops out there that don't care about speeding, as long as you're not being dangerous. You got lucky. That must have been weird though, never had that experience.

Wish I could have that happen. The police around here are cool, but will bust you in a heart beat.

If you are a jackass, such as myself, they bust you with out a second thought. Side note cops don't like rain.

I think they have a jackass policy here in CA too. If the cop is a jackass, you're gonna get a ticket. :D

I think the threshold for the Indiana State Police and most police in Central Indiana is 9 over. You are safe most of the time at 9 over. For me that means 9 times over the speed limit.

Ryan-I would kinda feel a bit inconvienced about being pulled over for not committing a traffic violation. I guess you chalk this one up as, "At least I didnt get a ticket."

true that, I find it fun to get pulled over and deserve a ticket and not get one.

especially when the first thing the cop says is "you blew the hell out of that little road back there!" in a very southern accent

man I kicked that roads a$$ in a minivan, think I was doing around 80 or so in either a 45 or 30, I've since stopped my retarded ways, but man that was funny, I was even wearing this dumb bright green two button blazer I got for 6 dollars at the goodwill

I need to find that coat...

9 over is the magical number...From my experience, cops will not pull you over for 9 over....11 over can be a different story, but on highways, its usually 15+.

What is funny about the blazer is it makes him look like a giant Lerprechaun. That van was hardcore. Took to jumping railroad tracks like no other.

I regularly do 20 over on the freeways here in town...

Of course, driving an Ivory Pearl Q45 with a Bondurant license plate has its benefits. Highway Patrol drops in behind me, I drive cool, they pull alongside and drive away. :D

it was still suprisingly fast for a van, I actually killed a fox body mustang gt because the doofus couldn't drive a manual

Yeah thats why I figure I might get assaulted. Although they did a song with static x that was awsome. The normal version is awsome as well. I loved it because it was dissing all the bling bling and what not. Then I bought the cd and was like wow that is a lot of propaganda and a lot of hate. They are really good though which is why I still listen to it. :batman
