State 1 of 4...Complete. Stillen Rear Wing Installed...caution, many pics

Well, just got the Stillen rear wing put on yesterday, stage 1 of 4 things to be done to my car that I can think of so far (the others being the Stillen lip spoiler, tints and the K&N intake).

I'm really happy with the paint job, just looks on the sides(see pics) the booth didnt do their due diligence in prepping it, but its not very noticeable.

I stood next to the guys when they were installing to make sure they didnt screw it up and install it too high or too low on the trunk. It ended up being very flush with the curvature of the trunk and fit on very snug.

In the next one you can see that "bumpiness" i was talking about on the sides. . .

Oh, and on the 5th picture, anyone notice that white and red sign thats infront of my car.... you cant really make it out, but it says "Ryan's Parking Only... All Others Will be Towed" Thats the truth right there lol

Actually, that looks worse than orange peel. At least from those pics, it looks like a wet-out issue. Did the shop prime that piece before spraying the black on? Me thinks they should've done a better job than that, I'd try to get some money back or something.

I have that spoiler too and I too have that "bumpiness" as you called it. It isn't noticed though except for those who look for imperfection like most of my f'in friends

Yea its definately not orange peel. if you run your hand across it it feels bumpy. Its just on the two sides. I can live with it.

I dig the rear spoiler, but if I had fish eyes like that in my clear coat, I'd definitely have it re-done.

Johnny got the term right...The term everyone is looking for is "fish-eye."

Basically they didn't clean the edge well enough and the paint doesn't want to stick to that area. Unfortunately it's pretty common as most paintshops don't take the time to properly prep the parts before spraying the paint. In my opinion yours is not that bad though.

By the way, tel the owner of that Jeep they need to get some of our head light covers. It's a new piece we just came up with a few weeks ago.
