Startup Issues

I just finished an auto to manual swap, and I am currently having some problems with startup.

1996 240sx

The car started up fine after the swap was complete, but then while driving home radio turned off and all lights dimmed. The starter and the alternator have already been replaced with working units. It can be started if it is jump started, but after a minute or two of idling the car starts to sputter/bog and then sounds like there is a backfire. The car then precedes to die.

could this be caused by the starter, alternator, battery, or crack in egr tube.

check your ALT. fuse its the big one near the intakemanifold, i think it 70amps or somthing you can miss its the bigest one in their, check that first then work from their.
