I just replaced the starter in my 93 240. Ka engine if it matters any. Everythings hooked up good. The engine didnt turn over. played with relays and it turned over after we checked em all. it turned over about 5 times after that then kicked out again and didnt start a few times after that. then again once. i think it is that pin that the clutch pushes in behind the pedal. Not sure but if anyone has heard of this or had this problem i would greatly appreciate any idea.

That pin is a common problem in that the little rubber plug that pushes it in falls out and you have to push it with your finger when you start, but I don't know why the pin would stop working altogether. Sounds like it might be an ignition switch going bad? Do some searches for that, that's the problem with my '92 now.

cant you just cut those wires and crimp them together if the switch is bad? as for the rubber thing falling out if you cant find it to put it back in just take a small bolt and nut and put it in where the rubber thing used to go. works awesome wont fall out if tightened right and doesnt break off like that stupid annoying rubber plug
