OK, I changed the fpr and I think I have it set right, but now it barely stays running with keeping the gas pedal kinda opened and then once it seems stabilized at like 1800 rpms..then it dies.

Only things I changed are the fpr and sealed up some vacuum leaks on my custom intake manifold...

No codes..any ideas?

I say swap back to the old FPR, like Kamin says and see what happens...what FPR did you get?

PLEASE dont say the OBX one off Ebay, I have not heard anything good about that thing.

Well, turns out my EPROM programmer had lost charge or something and lost its programming..I reprogrammed quick with the laptop and it fired up...

Next problem. Even with fuel psi at 30, it's still smoking and puffing out fuel smell like no other. I'm still not running an o2 sensor, but damn, it's so much fuel smell I can't leave it running for more than 20 seconds in the garage.

I'm temporarily using a compressor air gauge as the fuel psi gauge until mine comes in, but I still think it's pretty close...why is it so rich?

Here's a pic of the new setup. I tapped the stock fpr location and put in a Tee with MSD $55 FPR and with gauge on top.

GET A FREAKING O2 SENSOR!!!

THAT IS ONE OF THE 3 THINGS THAT DICTATES AIR/FUEL RATIO!

:runs to get o2 sensor:

I just didn't think it did that much at first startup and idle...and I didn't wanna ruin a new one by having it run rich..but alllllrighty I'll try that today. Going to buy a universal 3 wire o2 or something.

It's running better now with the o2 sensor..I bought a 3 wire bosch and it's still rich, but I'm gonna borrow a laptop and do a little tuning in the next couple days...hope to actually drive it soon!!!!!
