Yea so I went out this morning to start up my car, I cranked it over and it sounded like it was catching but it wouldn't start. I gave it a little gas and that didn't do anything either. When I pumped the throttle though it started up, but then died. I could rev it up a fair amount but then when I let off, it would cruise right back down to idle and then die. I figured it was a vacuum leak, so I tested it by spraying wd40 at nearly every spot I could think of. Nothing; I checked my boost/vac gauge and I'm pull 24 inches of mercury at idle so it's not a vaccum leak. I figured maybe something odd to do with the maf. I checked all the electrical connections on that and everything checked out. Pulled all the fuses and tested all the relays and nothing! Adjusted timing on my CAS, and that didn't do anything either. Recirculated my b.o.v. and nothing! Adjusted the TPS, and the idle control valve, still nothing. And I can't keep the car running long enough for the ECU to run the diagnoistics test, either that or my ecu just isn't throwing any codes. I then tried starting it again and revved it, but once again it returned back down to idle and died off. Then I heard dripping sound, looked under my car, huge puddle of oil, the oil return flange on my turbo had a huge crack in it, I figured maybe in some weird way the sudden lack of oil pressure might have caused the problem, yet I replaced my oil filter, new return flange, resealed the feed line at the block and turbo with liquid gasket on the threads, put it 4 fresh quarts of oil, it still has the problem. Then the next day I realized that the line for the power to my 02 sensor was cut (god knows how that happened). So I respliced that wire in and checked it for power, I figured it'd work fine now. Nope. Still has the problem. It won't stay running, it just sputters and dies, I can rev it up but it still returns to idle for a second and dies. I'm truely stumped, anybody have any possible ideas and what this could be? I've got 2 days to fix it before I have to work again and have no other way to get there. I need your help guys! Thanks.

sounds like 02 problem to me. When you spliced the wires back together, did you reset the ecu (unplug the battery for a few minutes) you need to do that when installing a new 02 sensor, so it should be no diferent for rewiring your existing sensor. Hope that helps :D.

I had a problem like that wound up being a cracked deteriorating vac line. another time it was a cracked intake tube after the afm
