What air flow meter are you using? That harness was set-up for the KA24e AFM, so unless you modded for a CA18's unit, you'll need to run the KAe's AFM. Is the water temperature plug connector on the water temperature sensor? Did you connect the orange wire at the dash connector? Does eccs prime your fuel system when you tun the ignition on? And lastly, the little vacuum lines aren't so important, but the big one is. Do not screw around with the CAS too much. Check your ecu's codes as well.

The harness was set up for ka24e? The afm plugged directly into a ca18 maf that i got. the ka plug wouldnt fit.

My bad ! I forgot I sent you the CA18DE harness and not the one for the CA18DET. You extended the wires to the AFM on the CA18 harness, so you are correct and I'm just overwhelmed with too many CA parts .

when i swapped my ca18det into my b210, i forgot to connect the orance wire to the starter solenoid. this tells the ecu that you are trying to start the car. anyway, without this wire connected, it's a b**** and really hard to start, much like the this guys problem. i connected the orange and boom it always starts on the first click.

the orange wire (aka signal wire) is not getting/sending any information to the PCM. when the key is turned the the "start" position, a circuit is completed and power reaches the starter and cranks the engine.

So its been a few days. i redid the orange wiring and boom its starts up now. weird thing is i cannot hold the clutch in when cranking. i must crank with the clutch down. then release it. maybe give it a bit of gas and she now holds idle perfect. down side is that i cannot get my tachometer to work and sometimes the engine starts to bog down and shuts off. personally it reminds me of having a hole in my intake. anyone know what wires for ca and ka the tachometer is?i read the sr swap guide and was wondering if it was possibly another wire? ill have pics of the completed project soon.

the clutch pedal should HAVE to be depressed to start the engine unless you have done an auto-to-manual swap, and even then, depressing the clutch pedal shouldn't interfere with cranking operation..im stumped on that one.

the tach wires mentioned in the SR swap guides are correct.
