Starting trouble. What is the source

Hey Guys,

My car is having problems starting. When I move the key, nothing happens. The battery is fine, the lights work and the annoying chime works and all that.

I ocassionally used to have this problem before, but if I turned the ignition off and retried it would work. Now it is getting worse. Any suggestions on what I should look for ?

Sounds like a posible starter, when the starter cylinoid starts to go out it will work speraticly... then after a while, not at all, sometime hitting the starter with a wrench(sounds like a joke but it works, it jars the cylinoid around) can get it to work again for a bit, but don't do that unless you've checked everything else...

Thanks Guys, I will see what I can do. I installed white gauges a few months ago. I had to drop the steering wheel to get my hands in there, would that have had some effect ?
