does it rev up fine when its warm? if it has trouble then it might be your coolant temp sensor (the one that sends to the ecu) that might need a change.

It revs fine when warm, I changed the coolant temp sensor and it seemed to help a little but i must have another problem. It starts fine if i press down on the gas pedal but not if i dont, it also seems to have a lower idle now that makes it idle a little rough. any further ideas?

Sounds like the IACV needs to be cleaned or replaced.

m problem may be solved... I found a hole in the vacume hose running between the egr diaphram and the egr solenoid unit, anyway, i replaced the hose and it seems to have fixed the issues. so far. The rough idle i had is gone and the car starts when warm now. Question,... Will the CEL come on if a sensor is bad? If so every time, it helps to diagnose problems connected to sensors but not the sensor itself. My engine light never came on.

Remove that junk, get a block off and remove it.
