Ive made a few upgrades to my coupe recently and thought I would share a few pics. I still have so much more that i would like to do but I'm in the process of buying a house and need to pinch a few pennies for the next couple of months. Let me know what you think.

I had already tinted the windows and hid the chrome grill and emblems. So this is what it looked like previously...

First, i decided to go with 19's and found a good deal on a staggered set of wheels. Front: 19x8 +35/Rear: 19x9.5 +35
After ordering all the necessary hardware (which didnt come with the wheels)..I shopped around for tires and decided to go with Nankang set of 225/40 and 245/40...

As i was waiting on the wheels and tires to arrive, I already knew that i didnt want the coupe to look like a 4x4 on the new wheels and decided that i would need a set of coilovers. I ended up going with the Megan Coilovers. Ive heard some good and some bad about them but thought i would give them a shot. I also ordered a Stillen front lip and it just so happened that they both arrived at the same time... :chuckle:

It was time for the test fit on the lip...

It fit really well...it literally held itself on. Next, i took it to a local dealership and had it painted....

Now, it was time to get those 19's put on the car. This is the day they were installed...

Finally, I ordered some SPC rear camber arms to help with any alignment adjustments and was able to get the coilovers installed. I dropped the ride height some to eliminate a part of the wheel gap that was there.. but for right now, i can't go any lower due to the "rugged terrain" of my current driveway. I do plan on getting it closer to earth soon though, as soon as i move later this month. :yesnod

So, that's it for now.

Thanks guys! I wish I lived out in cali..there are next to no resources or performance shops where I can just go and pick up parts. Some of you guys/gals in that area should consider yourselves lucky. Its a pain to order stuff and then pray that it arrives within 7-10 days to the right address here in Tenn. :tisk:

The megans ride seemed a little stiff to me initially but I softened the damper on the rear some and it seems to have helped quite a bit. I do have a slight rattle noise coming from the rear right now, but from what I have read, its likely due to a 17mm nut that needs tightening?. Unfortunately, thats going to require me to remove the rear struts again but hopefully it will fix the noise. :ohno:

Noises from coilovers are a common problem and are typically mitigated through purchasing a "top of the line" brand. However, doing so still doesn't guarantee a noise free installation or that no noise will develop over time. The easiest way to avoid suspension noise with lowering a vehicle is from the old school lowering springs & aftermarket struts/shocks combo. :gapteeth:
