starting/smoke i need help

went outside earlier to fix my car,found out battery was dead,jumper cabled my car,behind the motor starting fuming white smoke,what the hell was that about somebody help me

Did you get the smoke before or after you tryed to start it? What kind of car? has anything been done to the car mod wise? What year is the car? More info is always a good thing
