Starting problems.

I have a 1995 240SXSE.

My 240 has been starting really slow lately. So I took my car to Wal-Mart (because that's where I bought the battery) and they checked both the battery and the alternator. Both tested good. But just before they tested it, the car would not start for me. It turned over really slow and then stopped. The second time it just clicked. I waited a little bit and it then started like a champ!

But like I said, everything tested okay. And get this, after he tested it it started up like nothing was wrong! No slow start or anything! But when I left to go to work, same thing. Slow start.

Man, I just hate it when things go wrong when you're the only witness... Anyway, I'd probably upgrade to a Optima battery or something with atleast 800 CCA. That would be my suggestion... if not, I'd redo my engine grounding and double check the starter cabling.

My car died last night when trying to leave work. I had full power, lights were as bright as ever, but not a sound when I tured the key. I had to call a local repair shop and they towed it and fixed it this morning.

The problem was the starter.

The cost was over $500.00!

it could possibly be a starter but I would start with having the grounds checked by a professional shop first. these cars are plagued with ground problems that are simple to fix but can cause big problems......

oops, just realized the problem was already solved..........hmmmm maybe its time to put down the beer lol
