Okay, now that I seem to have the alarm problem figured out...

My car starts real slow. Like the battery is low. I am kind of confused if it's the battery or alternator. When the car is running all the lights are bright which tells me that the alternator is working good, right? Maybe it's just not charging the battery? But it's been like this for a couple weeks...I can't see a battery lasting that long without getting charged back up from the alternator.

Like I said, I am a little confused at what the actual problem is.

I have a 1995 240SXSE.

an alternator keeps a fully charged battery fully charged, they dont really recharge them, they do to an extent but you need to charge that battery or get a new one.

How does that work when say your car has to be "jumped" and you have to keep it running for a little while to charge the battery back up?

no, first, many times when a battery is that run down it will never recharge all the way. the battery charger im talking about is like 60 lbs and you wheel it around on little wheels. a new battery can be had for $30 at autozone with core

So I took my car to Wal-Mart (because that's where I bought the battery) and they checked both the battery and the alternator. Both tested good. But just before they tested it, the car would not start for me. It turned over really slow and then stopped. The second time it just clicked. But like I said, everything tested okay. And get this, after he tested it it started up like nothing was wrong! No slow start or anything! But when I left to go to work, same thing. Slow start.

HELP!!!!

be sure your cable ends are nice and tight. try wiggling them and stuff. if you can just pull them off without loosening the nut, its too loose.

My car died last night when trying to leave work. I had full power, lights were as bright as ever, but not a sound when I tured the key. I had to call a local repair shop and they towed it and fixed it this morning.

The problem was the starter.

The cost was over $500.00!

Ouch.
