starting problems

my 1992 240 sx hatchback wont start. i replaced the battery, starter,and all the fuses. still nothing. when i try to start it, you can hear it in the relay, then it stops. it sounds like it aint makin it to the starter. can anyone help?

hey man i looked it up, and checked evrything. but i dont know how to check the interlock switch

i tryed the tutorial thing. but it still wont start. how do i check the clutch interlock switch?

look at it visually on the clutch.

so u have a no crank symptom right? well you can test to see if your getting power at the starter! all you have to do is use a multimeters on DC current connect the red lead to the big hot wire on the the starter and the black lead to the negative termanial then have a buddy try and crank the car u should get battery voltage at the hot wire. if you dont your problem is some where else

what other symptoms does it have? the more descriptive u r the easier it is for someone to help u so let me know some more info and i will try and help u

damn im retarded or something. i cant figure it out. i thing i need to pay someone to fix it

its just a process of elimination. start tracing the problem with a multimeter and you'll probably find out it was something very simple like a bad ground or something. good luck with it

pbody i posted on your other forum don't even no how i got there but any ways.

Maybe your car isn't reading the clutch... IF its standard get on your knees and follow the clutch handle up to find a button, hold the button down and turn the key over at the same time.

I push started my car and everything is ok with it. So if you want try push starting yours if you haven't already. Just encase you decide too be sure to put it in second gear first can get really jerky and maybe even mess up your motor mounts.
