Are you sure that the battery is ok? it doesnt sound like the starter, cause if it was the starter the car wouldnt have even tried to turn over.

Is it a manual?First get a jump. That will let you know it's battery/alternator.If it doesn't start and it's manual push start your car.Although being that starter just failed you should be able to whack a few times for a little bit.

My 93 240 won't start at all. I drove it the day before with no problems, went to start it the next morning and all my lights come on, but it won't even turn. I tried jumping it, nothing. Does not seem to be the battery and if a jump doesn't get it...I am thinking the starter.

Would you guys agree? Is it hard to replace the starter in a 240? I haven't done that since my 72 Nova I had in high school. That was pretty easy... Thanks for any input...and maybe it would help Streets_Fire.

replacing the starter isn't hard....tw 14mm bolts bolted to the transmission, only hard part is hooking the power wire back up.
