starting problem with power issue

I have a 89 240sx, it ran when I baught it in New York, and I towed it all the way to Michigan, and it hasn't started yet, I have power inside, but as soon as I turn the key, everything dies and I have no power to anything at that point, do you have any suggestions, I've replaced the fuel pump, alternator, starter, some main engine bay fuses that were blown, ignition coil, distributer rotor and cap. The only things I haven't changed yet is the starter relay, spark plugs and wires, I heard that from towing it that far could flood the transmission, and blow the motor, is this true?
