(ka24e.....i know wrong section but everyone has own a ka before).......well ever since i finish replacing my timing chain everything was great until one day i tried to start my car, all you would hear is this clicking noise like it is not getting enough power to the starter and then after i tried to start it again it would start fine. This would happen on and off, weather the car is hot, cold, driven for a whole day or just for a little bit. I would be able to start the car with no problems for a couple of days and out of no where it would start to act up again and just give me that clicking noise like it is not getting enough power or something....so please help

battery connections are good, battery voltage is good, but just gives me that clicking noise like it doesn't have enough power.

odd im actually trying to figure this problem out myself too. this doesnt apply to me cause its only US 240's, but check your clutch interlock switch and relay, apparently that could cause your problem.

also after searching, i sorta found a list you can check

- Battery cable connections; in particular, corrosion.- Starter solenoid may be bad.- Check fuse.- Clutch interlock switch may be bad.- Interlock relay may be bad.- Check ignition switch.

hopefully one of those will help you cause they unfortunatly were not the problem on my car

I'd definitely insist on your starter being the issue.

either give the starter solenoid a tap with a mallet and have someone trying to start the car

or if you are badass you can always hook the car battery up to the starter

The mallet thing usually works to get it going... A lot of times they'll buzz when they're going bad but not always. Next time it doesn't work, tap the starter with a mallet. Don't worry, you shouldn't damage anything. I've hit them pretty hard. I've had starters rebuilt for as cheap as 25$ at local garages before.

ok my car finally stop wanting to stop starting.......so i check my ignition and it is fine, i check my clutch interlock switch and it was fine.... and PyR0NiAk you where right it was the started cause i went back to it and i turn the ignition to on and if you just use a screw driver and connect the positive and negative together it would spin the flywheel and start the motor but in this case it didn't. So i replace the starter and everything was all good again.......thanks guys for the help
