Starting Problem

My 95 G20 has an odd starting problem. The engine will come on and then then revs will drop down to the point of stalling. It does this except when the car has sat overnight or when the engine has recently been running (short stops). My dealer said IAC valve, but I think it was cleaned out recently. What else should I check?

First I would check the adjustment of the valve (consult scanner). Then go in the test mode and open the valve to see if it is working properly. I don't know if aftermarket scanners have the capability of that operation. Dennis might have some info on that.
