My 2011 M56 with 80k miles which I purchased new would intermittently not start after driving somewhere. Strong cranking but no start. Dealer had it 2 or 3 times. Last one for 3 weeks. "Could not duplicate" problem. Did "computer" work. No "error" messages ever. They thought maybe low pressure fuel pump problem. Replace without any guarantee of results. Car off warranty.
I researched issue and found "crankshaft position sensor" discussions. Dealer disagreed. Suggested trade in of car.
Bought part from Infiniti dealer online at discount and installed in 20 minutes. One bolt and plugin. Problem came back in a couple of weeks. I remembered plug in line cover was laying on wire and felt very tight when clicked into place. I took some duct tape to temporarily shore up wire and relieve pressure. Problem seems gone. May have only needed to relieve pressure on line.
Worth a try for you guys.

Thanks for sharing this. Glad you got it sorted and you were on the correct path...if a start issue isn't battery related it's usually a crankshaft or camshaft sensor...at least on Nissan products.

Also, find another dealer. I lol'ed at recommended trade in. Man, I'm lucky that my dealer isn't staffed by a bunch of morons. I'd laugh at that dealer employee to their face if they told me to trade in a car for something like that.

Interesting, for me, my fiancé’s had the same problem, AAA’s battery tester showed it was good (Yet a jump start got it started lol ), brought it to the dealership, their testers said it was good... until they tried their “heavy duty one” which showed the battery as .5 or so off from where it should be. The M56 comes with a battery that is just barely acceptable for what it needs. The dealership replaced it with one that’s rated beyond the stock one and we haven’t had a problem since.

I guess some dealerships are not taking the time to find good quality personnel that know what they are doing!!! That's a shame.

That and some of them are just shady. I've had more conversations with corporate than I care to recount. Infiniti doesn't seem to care too much so long as they move product. Called my local dealer today about an O2 sensor, guy would give me the price but refused to give me that part number (luckily I already had it before I called). s*** like that and the whole pulling the service docs from NICO has me seriously jaded.

I had this problem with my M56 and the issue was the ground. It needs to be replaced as it is insufficient in spec for the vehicle.
