Just got done putting on my turbo setup, and i have yet to get it to fire up. I have an enthalpy ECU tuned for z32 MAF and 555 injectors. It just cranks and seems like its on the verge of fireing, but it wont. Also the plugs have a crap load of fuel on them and they got black real quick which leads me to believe that it is possibly dumping too much fuel. I pulled the fuel rail off to make sure that the injectors aren't leaking and they seem fine. Is it possible taht my tune is extremely off? what would happen if my ecu got tuned for 72lb injectors instead of the 555cc's? PLease any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Have you checked for spark??? If you got fuel on your injectors then it sound liek you got a crushed o-ring. Plugs turning black means it's rich but liek me, my timing was way off.Check your oil now and see if it smells like gas. Pull plugs, if thye are drenched in gas you most likely have a leaking injector. You got a fpr?? If you got a walboro fuel pump and no adjustable fpr you'll be rich at idle....First check to make sure o-rings are goodSecond check for sparkThird check timing.....You got an extra ecu??? Always plug it in to see if she fires....just don't drive on it

I have a walbro fuel pump and no adjustable FPR and it's normal.

Why are you asking about being tuned for 72lb injectors and having 555cc's? is this your case? definatley get that tune fixed if its your situation because thats most likley your cause.

It could be his cause. On my car if I didn't turn down my base fuel pressure my car would foul out the plugs and then die on me.... Car would start but had a rough idle after a minute and then would die.Was just an option.Check your timing.....

You probably are off one tooth on the dizzy. Set the the engine TDC by looking at the crank and the cams and reinstall the dizzy one tooth advance and try again. You will get fouled plugs if your timing is off. The only other thing it could be bad O-ring on the injector but I bet it is the dizzy. Mine would not crank at all off one tooth. It is easy to miss it by one.

thanks for the replies guys. I had a walbro in there when it was n/a and it was fine...so i dont think that would be the problem. I also pulled the fuel rail off already and they were not leaking when i turned the ignition on...so i am assuming its not a ripped o-ring. I will try to mess with the timing a bit. and the reason i asked about being tuned for larger injectors is when enthalpy sent my ecu they sent it with a different work order than my setup...i asked chris about it and he said that if my ecu has my name on it then it is tuned right...however i am starting to doubt this. I just want to make sure that it cant be anything else before i go and talk to enthalpy about retuning it.

did you take off your dizzy anytime during the turbo install? if you're going to reinstall the dizzy, please refer to the factory service manual to see how to line up the markings of the shaft/housing of the dizzy.

good news....SHE RUNS!!! turns out my dizzy was off....and a vacuum leak. This was turning out to be a horrible experience for me. before the turbo install me and my friend replaces all oil seals and HG. after that we set timing per fsm...after that my compression in cyl 2 and 3 were at like 100...turns out my friend had my cams possitioined off. I fixed that after being in a horrible mood and my compression was 165-170 on all cyl. SHould have guessed the dizzy would be off too. But thanks to your guys' comments and great diagnostic skills i got her runnin with good idle and vacuumm. now its off to the muffler shop for me exhaust. Thank you again.
