Well from the sound of it,it sounds like your on a budget and dont wanna spend anymore then you have to which i can understand. With that being said i say do the work yourself. You come out a heck of alot cheaper and youll learn a hole lot.240sx's are very easy cars to work on.As long as you take your time and look at what you take apart and not just tear it down and forget were it goes then you should be fine.Heck take pictures if you have to,do what ever it takes to to help you.If you do the work your self youll come out better in the long run in my opinion.Youll gain knowledge of the car, save money, and then have the pride of saying "yeah i built that",when you put your own sweet and blood into it,it makes you appreciate it more.

Thats my 2 cents.lol

when my friend was building his subie he had someone videotape it when he took out the engine. that way he could refer back to it for anything he needed to know. he said it made everything SO much easier

I would say do everything BUT non internal *Engine work*. non major electrical *Wire harness* and non major custom fab by yourself to start off with, and than when you get the hang of everything else, than go ahead and start working slowly at those things picking up bits and pieces while time goes on an everything should be pretty basic..
