Hey everyone, new to the board, and couldnt find what I was looking for on searches. I have an 02 Spec V Sentra right now, and although I would love to hook it up, nothing is out for it yet. So I was thinking it would be cool to leave that as my street car, and pick up a 240 for a race project.I havent done much research on it yet, but I am looking for a 90-91 240. I am not sure if it will be easier to find parts for the fastback or coupe though. I also thought it would be pretty cool to import one with right hand drive, remember, this isnt for street use, only race, so I dont care about registration. My question is, from the Silvia/240 experts, is if I picked up a 240, what model/year is going to be the easiest to find parts for? And how hard is it going to be to do a SR20 swap if I buy one of the OEM 240's?I'll propably be up all night looking for info, but any help you guys can give is appreciated, thanks!

I'll make it semi-simple....

89/90 = SOHC (fastback and coupe style s13)91-94 = DOHC (fastback style s13)95-98 = DOHC (couple style s14)

If you're swapping in an sr20, try to buy atleast a 91.... it's a BIT easier to swap it in, but the 89's and 90's are still fairly simple.

As far as aftermarket products, some people will say the s13 has more, some say the s14. I've got a '91 and i can find ANY aftermarket upgrade i want (spoiler, rims, exhaust, intake, turbo kits, intercoolers, shocks/springs, clutch, etc, etc, etc).

Good luck, and try searching before you ask questions... you will find many related questions in the searches.

Any ideas on how hard it would be to get an actual Silvia over here?

Tell him "The peanut butter is in the henhouse." He'll take you via helicopter to their super-secret JDM showroom, where you can buy one.

Went to dealer and tried that, and he actually sold me one. It was his last one too. Now I got a true Silvia all thanks to lost. You shouldn't have told me your secret lost, now that I got one and you dont.

You're gonna pay out the *** to try to get one here, and it'll still be old. Get a US 240, and swap an engine. It'll be cheaper, and you won't have to shift with your left hand.

I just think it would be cool to have right hand drive, nobody else really does over here...

If I had the money, there would be a Skyline in my garage right now, but for the time bieng, the only way for me to go RHD is with a cheaper car.
