i have electric doors and windows and i want to know if they will still work withe the engine harnes completly off. And is there a way to use the original ignition plz get back to me i dont want to spend money on this and not be able to lower the windows im not looking to make a drag car

yeah they will work, the doors that is. as far as ignition it'll be a matter of wiring.

if you were to remove just the engine harness just about everything would still work that isnt part of the harness itself, so like accessories and such would still work. what v8 did you have in mind? i've been wanting to do an ls1 swap myself but i'm broke after all my suspension goodies.

just rebuilt a 350 just to get started going to make 383 stroker later just want to make it run should have it going by next week

carb for now. ill buy the fuel injection kit from jegs later on when i get more cash

how much will the stock read end handle. and how can i upgrade it not looking to buy new parts and im gana do 5 lug conversion all around

as far as i know the rear end is good till the upper 500s. if you wanted to upgrade you could go 300zx or j30 diffs. you could even do some clutch type lsds.

wut year 300zx. and where do i get that j30 diff

the windows, winshield wipers, power controls for side mirrors, cig light, stereo, hazards, etc. all can work as long as you supply power to them and ground them. all of mine work. It is in your best interest to leave the fuse boxes intact. i did not . I cut out everything I thought I could and it made it difficult to get power to some stuff.

as long as you only cut the engine harness stuff. not sure how the power is sent to the fuse boxes if it is off the alternator or direct from battery?

I hear the axles are what are weak.

I swapped in the q45 diff, 300zxtt driver side axle, q45 driver side axle, q45 5lug hubs in the rear. ebay 5 lugs(for now) .not to expensive. this was all for the price of an after market lsd for the 240 but you get the taller gear for highway cruising and stronger axles so you can dump the clutch with out having to wonder if this is the time your axles will break. I call it peace of mind.it is your money and time. I personally chose the insurance of beefing up the drivetrain so I do not waste more money and time later replacing broken parts.

I used the 90-96 diff ,axles, and hubs (q45 and 300zx). the 97+ year q45 diffs have a different ratio. 300zx axle goes on driver side and q45 goes on passenger (both axles are the driver side axles from respective cars). I think the 90-96 and 97+ use the same axles, not sure on that though. it has been a while so I do not remember threads that had this info otherwise I would post some links. I found all related info on this site so if you look you can find it.
