starting my sr swap

i got the complete motor set and all the goodies ive been having alot of trouble finding info on what i need to complete it here is my list

downpipe turbo elbow radiator with dual fans intercooler with piping hot pipe with bov walbro fuel pump new timing chain kit clutch and flywheel all fluids and oil filter

i think i got most of the stuff to get it running safely i was thinking about getting a new exhaust manifold but id figure id cheap out and just leave the stock one any input would help i just wanna make sure i got everything before i start ripping stuff out its my DD so i gotta finish it over the weekend. thanks

not neccesary but i'd check and replace as needed:beltsmotor mountsfuel filter would be good, toospark plugs

i'm working on mine this weekend too, so i'm just comparing our lists...hope everything goes well

Change all of those as well. I would get a gasket set and change every gasket I can get to. Boost gauge

oh yeah forgot about the boost and oil pressure gauge its starting to kick a hole in my wallet hopefully everything goes good and good luck with your swap va240dude

Yup doing mine as well. It's awesome, but def kills you on money.

I still need to buy gasket setpossibly new clutch and fly wheelradiatorAll new coolant/vacuum hoses

Mine isn't a DD though so I can take all winter to save money and build itWish I had the money to buy all upgrades and swap it now while the motor is sitting, but that won't happen

Another thing to check to is the oil pump pickup. I can't tell you how many engines I've seen here where they were shipped incorrectly and the oil pans dented the pickup. It's simple to check and easy to fix and will save you a lot of aggravation when you realize you have little or no oil pressure

awesome thanks for the input ill be sure to check the oil pan ive been hearing alot of horror stories due to the oil pan but so far i got everything the hot pipe and greddy rs bov really kicked me in the face 360$ and im gonna be checking out a greddy intercooler tomorrow ill post some pictures up of the motor when i get it
