HEy guys/girls,

Im ready to start my KA-T project but dont have tons of money to get the whole thing at once.

Now my question is what kinda of items can i purchase and install on my car while it is still N/A and be beneficial to my car now and when it will be turbo'd ?

THanks a ton

if you want to do it a step at a time, heres a few things you can do now and still run fine....-catback-wideband o2-safc/btm/emanage-injectors-fuel pump

im sure theres a bunch more, but its a good start...

I am gonna second those...they're great little items to get out of the way before the rest of the setup. Heck, install all those and play around with the AFC or whatever and you may be able to squeeze a HP or two out of your engine if the current tuning is a little messed up...who knows.

also pullies and cams will give you some more power now and more with turbo. the problem with buying of of these extra things though is that is offsets when you will have enough money for your tubo project.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the great replies.

I forgot to mention that i have an APEXI N1 Catback 3 " pipe.

I have a huge delema that might set me back some.

I was looking at getting

A Dynojet Wideband Kitand a SAFCII and leaving that for my tuning and nothing else.

Will this be a good setup to tune A / F rations and what not ? Becauase I hear people talking about the AEM EMS but thats tons of money and would set me back some in my final goal.

So far my plans are as follows.

Dynojet Wideband Commanderhttp://www.widebandcommander.com/

What are you opinions on this kit ?

And of course everyone knows the Apexi SAFCII

Also will I see any improvement in getting a 300ZX MAF ?

And one more question what sort of fuel pump should I be looking at ?

Btw I never really mentioned what my HP goals are ....

I would be pretty happy with anywhere from 220 - 250 at the wheels.

THanks again guys

for only 225 whp you should be ok running the stock maf. you should be able to accomplish that at a fairly low boost level.

a walbro 255 lph is only 100 bucks and should support anything you do. check ebay.

the safc and wideband will be enough to tune your fuel, but you might also want to consider timing control. i guess for low boost apps you can just run retarded timing, but im still gonna run a btm for my setup, which is similar to yours.

the safc will be enough for you goals. the EMS is sick and would also give you alot more power NA, which you might want to consider then. lots more power now and lots more power later

well even with my safc2 and wbo2 installed and some street tuning, i noticed improvements up top. im sure some if it is mental, but my a/f's at high revs and WOT were low 12's and even high 11's sometimes with stock ecu mapping. i brought them up to 13-13.5 and it pulls much smoother up a bit stronger now. so that could be worth it for you n/a.
