Ive searched every forum on this issue and its got me stumped. the car wont crank it wont even turn over no click from the starter NOTHING. ive replaced the starter, the starter relay, the ignition relay, and the battery. i cant figure this one out any help would be awesome oh and its a 1991 300zx

id start looking for a ground that isnt connected, then start with and/or relay or fuse.

First, are your battery cables frayed at all? Specifically look at the negative (ground/black) cable, it should go from the battery to the firewall and then down to a bellhousing bolt on the trans. If any of the connections are frayed it can give you problems.

Also try disconnecting the factory security controller. It's right near where the ecu is, behind the pass. side floorboard. Here's a pic:

If your car's an auto, make sure its fully in park. I know it sounds stupid but I've done it before. Don't ask...

Haha that full park thing ive seen a few times when i was in iraq i had a butterbar come to me saying his Humvee wouldn't crank so i went and threw it in park and cranked it shut it off and put in reverse i watched him for 45mins before he gave up and went to a different mech

Try the Neutral Safety Switch on the clutch pedal. This will cause what you describe.

Another issue could also be the ignition itself, do you have power coming from the switch to the NSS? To the Relay? to the starter?

ok so i ran a loop on the safety switch now i can hear the starter relay clicking that's a step in the right direction maybe i just didn't jump it good enough ill do that when i get back to the house thanks for the info guys

ok so update i ran a straight bypass to the starter from the battery after doing the NSS loop and the sucker cranked right up now i know which way to go with it thanks for the help guys
