starting issues

when i go to start the car it always starts but, i used to just turn the key ,crank and turn right over and start all in one motion. now it seems that i have to hold the key longer and it cranks a couple seconds longer then starts. when this happens the car seems sputter a little like its not getting enough fuel. once it starts and i rev it , the idle is good and where it should be. it seems like this issue is getting a little worse over time.

Could it be battery issue?

or even the starter its self?

bump

i could really use some input on this it seeming to get worse. now i have to hold the key for multiple seconds and and soemtimes it doesnt turn over and start and i have to turn the key back and try again . it eventually turns over but not in the smooth way it used to(seems to sputter for a seconds once it starts). this is not the way it used to be an im affraid of getting stuck somewhere not being able to get it to start.

is there away to test the starter?

could it be a fuel issue do to the sputtering once it does start?

maybe the battery?

i need some help here and a starting point to try to figrue this out

hard to believe i cant get any input on my problem . its not like im trying to turbo my NA

ya im having somewhat of the same problem.. its cranking and if u can hear it cranking its probably not the starter.. im thinking it could possibly be a timing issue or a fuel pump that might be starting to go??? does it back fire a lot when you romp on it???

The first thing you should tell us is what have you checked so far. Spark? Fuel Injectors? MAF? Fouled Plugs? Compression Test? Timing? Fuel Pump?
