Anyone care to take a stab at this I'd welcome it. I recently swapped in a rb25det S2 motor into an s14 chassis. My problem is this.........the car does not start unless I connect a battery booster to it. All you hear is the starter slightly hitting the flywheel. I thought it was the battery so I bought a brand new one and still the same problem. I've connected a bigger ground to the block and still the same result. All available grounds are connected. Once started the car idles smoothly its just getting it to start without the booster that is the problem. Open to any suggestions offered.

Try smashing on the starter with a rubber mallet, while someone is trying to turn the motor over. It could be a stuck or half-way engaging solenoid.
