Starting issue

I have a 2004 3.5L LE Pathfinder, I drove the vehicle to the store, everything was fine, when I went to leave it would not start, just a click. Checked the battery 12.47V. Battery terminals/connections were tight. As I was checking over it after sitting for about 15 minutes, I tried to start it and "WAALA" it started. Need some insight what could cause this problem please. I understand there are three components involved in the starting, Alternator, Starter and of course the battery. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

I've wrestled with starting issues lately, but no crank and no click, which wound up being the starter relay. That you're getting a click, implies to me that you're getting power to the starter motor. I'd check in the direction of the starter motor first. (and that it started after nothing but a click earlier, indicates that the battery and alternator are good)
