So i will start off by saying I HAVE been searching forums for almost a month trying to figure out my starting issue, but every lead i get comes up no good.

I bought my 96 240sx KA24de from Florida, fluids were good and it ran great, drove it home 2hrs back to Savannah with no issues. A week or so later the car would randomly be hard to start, it didn't happen often so it wasn't an issue. Long story short the issue has progressed and now will start but shut off after a few minutes of driving or idleing. After it shuts off i am not able to start it unless i pull the spark plugs, dry them off of the fuel, and pull the fuel pump relay fuse.

I checked the compression on the motor first, all 4 cylinders are at 190psi. Now everything i found that could be an issue on forums that i replaced are: Walbro 255 fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor assembly (used,) bought a new cap and rotor for it, and i bought a new ignition switch.

When the car dies it does not sputter, the only indication of the car being of is the lights illuminating on the dash. The previous owner swapped the transmission with a transmission from an s13 (idk what year.) And they did not install the crankshaft position sensor (read that it doesn't have to be installed.) I did take it to an auto store to have my codes checked, i had 4 codes. 1. P0335 Crankshaft position sensor (not installed.) 2. P0325 Knock sensor. 3. P0115 Engine coolant temp circuit. 4. P0125 Insufficient engine coolant temperature for closed loop fuel control.

I am hoping that it is something stupid so that I can all myself a dumb a**, but have my car running right again. Thanks in advanced.

Coolant temp sensor.
It probably faults out to think its -40 degrees out, dumping a ton of fuel in there.
Check the harness and connector in the area as well.
